Especially Galway has grown on fame since Ed Sheeran released his hit single. We will show you the cheapest way to go from Dublin to Galway and from Galway to Dublin!
Saint Patrick’s Day is right around the corner and you are probably thinking about celebrating this ‘green’ day in the capital. To do so you first must travel from Galway to Dublin. Or maybe you are already in Dublin and you just want to escape this crazy mess of celebration people – in this case, Galway is your place to be.
There are several ways to travel through Ireland. If you want to be more flexible and decide by yourself where you want to stop on your way from Dublin to Galway, we advise you to rent a car. In this case, you must be aware that you have to be over 25 to rent a car and have an international drivers license. If you are under 25 you can still rent a car, but you have to expect higher rates to rent the car and also for the costs of the insurance. The most important thing to keep on mind is: ‘Drive on the left side’. Most car rental companies put stickers on the dashboard that say ‘Alive left. Dead right.’ to make it easier for you to memorize.

This option might seem a bit unconventional, but it is also a good way to get to know new people in Ireland. A lot of people that regularly travel from their home to their workplace, offer to take passengers for little money with them. This is definitely the cheapest way to go from Dublin to Galway.
