I love my work. I am very comfortable with it despite having to travel one hour everyday. It’s worth it! I am learning a lot from them. They have put me in the production selection because during the first few weeks I wasn’t doing anything in the technical department. In this new section I am getting to know/discover skills which I never knew I had. The business is half Irish and half Polish, therefore I am practising English all of the time and I can talk to everyone. I don’t find anything difficult. The workers are very nice and so is the boss. The accommodation is very good and I get on well with everyone I live with. Partnership International have helped me when I have needed it. Cork is a beautiful city offering a lot of places to go and spend your free time. People there are very friendly. Partnership International is an agency that is very well organised and its staff are very kind and willing to help you whenever you need it.

This experience have been really positive for me. I have learned how to live independently, how to value a lot of things (a job, a weekend, to do the shopping, to save money, to spend money in a responsible way, etc.). I also have demonstrated to myself that I am a professional and that I enjoy teaching a lot. Now I know that I am qualified to be a teacher in a different country with a different language. I recommend this programme for everybody because it is fantastic! Paula (Madrid, Spain) |
As a junior network engineer, I was looking for my first opportunity in a real work environment. I know from experience that it is not easy to find a specific place in the networking field. Partnership International had actually found the perfect company for my internship. I could not dream for a better place to learn, face challenges, and put my IT and network skills to the test. It went really well, as I have now received a job offer for a network engineer role.

So after all, I have to say it was an absolutely great opportunity to get to know a new country/city, people and to make an inter-cultural experience. I am lucky that Partnership International organised everything so well and that they were hands-on to their students the entire trip. Thanks very much for everything and keep doing what you are doing! It will definitely not be my last time in Ireland and you helped me to open new ways! Cheers! Christian (Berlin, Germany) |
We would like you to know that we really appreciate the good work you do for us and our apprentices. You’re always “on the case” whenever challenges arise and you follow up in a splendid way. It’s so important to us to know that we have partners that we can count on when we send our young apprentices abroad – and we would both like you to know that we think the work you do is valued.
With my internship, organised by Partnership International, I got to visit many different Irish companies and was involved with introducing international students to them. I was also involved with inductions and orientations for foreign students. My work also included office administration. My colleagues were really nice so the working experience was very good. And I got to see a bit of Ireland while there. I’ve been to the Cliffs of Moher, a whiskey distillery, a falconry and many places more. So, overall it was a great experience and I would totally recommend it! Steph (Berlin) |
I enjoyed my time here so much! I had an awesome workplace and an amazing apartment with lovely people. I would definitely do it again!

My internship has given me the opportunity to learn a lot and to improve my professional skills in a foreign language. It was a great opportunity for me to gain practical skills and work within a professional team. The lessons I learned as an intern are still with me today and I’m thankful to all the team of Partnership International who were a real pleasure to deal with. I would recommend an experience like this to everyone. Laura (Bordeaux, France) |
It was a great experience to work and stay in Cork. It was too short!

I had a wonderful time in Ireland last year. I must give a lot of thanks for this to the boys and girls of Partnership international. I already informed friends and colleagues of mine about the program and I think they will take part in it soon. Anne (Stuttgart, Germany) |
I’m really happy with this internship. My workplace was really nice and the people are so amazing, but it was too short. I would like to stay longer! 🙂

I really liked doing an internship in Cork for 3 months. In fact, I’m going to stay here another 3 months (the company where I did the internship hired me!). The city is nice and everybody is very kind, friendly and open-minded. The worst for me, as Spanish, is the weather and the prices. My English is improving a lot and I travelled around this awesome island, so I think as a vital experience it was perfect. I’ve made a great decision taking this internship with Partnership International, the welcome was excellent as was the company where I did my internship. Xabier (Spain) |
It was a nice experience. Cork is a nice city and you can see a lot of sweet things. We made a lot of journeys which were really nice!

Supervised by Partnership International, I have lived and worked in Ireland for 5 months now. During that time I got to know a lot of interesting people and their stories, marvelled at some beautiful pieces of Irish nature, and enjoyed every day in the work placement that Partnership International arranged for me. For me, Partnership International’s assistance was a crucial factor to undertake this adventure. By arranging an accommodation and a suitable work placement, they took the heaviest weight and uncertainty from me. I can highly recommend venturing it to everybody. You won’t regret it! During my time in Cork I really enjoyed the time at my workplace. The guys were just great and I really got along with them. But not only the workplace was just great! Regarding my host family, I was just super happy to stay with them. As a host family they contributed the most to this stay. The house was very nice, the people are super nice, we really felt like coming home every day and in the end we even got so close to them that the 14-year old in the family asked us to come again next year. In the end everything was just perfect and I can recommend everyone to do this experience too.

Working at the translation company was very nice. The staff were very friendly and funny and the working atmosphere was excellent. Cork is a beautiful city and the people here are very friendly. Although Cork is very small, you can find a lot of nice things to do and a lot of shops you can shop in. 🙂 In comparison to Germany, Ireland has very mild weather and is much more green than any other country I’ve been to. I would definitely come back for work as well as for holidays! It was really a pleasure to meet all of the Partnership International staff. Very nice and funny people 😀 Saskia (Coburg, Germany) |
What I enjoyed most about my stay were the people here because they were all very friendly. Furthermore, Cork is a really beautiful place where it is very easy to get in contact with its citizens. I also enjoyed the stay with our host family who were friendly but sometimes a bit stressed 😀

First of all, I really love Cork! The people are very nice and friendly. My placement was with a very cool and friendly company as well. I enjoyed the time with my cool colleagues and boss! My work was familiar to me because I translated documents like I am learning in Germany. I would recommend an internship in Cork for every student because it is worth it. You improve your language skills and learn the culture. The Irish accent is also very cool but funny as well! So, I really enjoyed my time here. Thank you Partnership International! My experience has been amazing because I did many things and my English is better. My life is different now. Cork is an amazing place and I love it

I had an amazing experience living in Cork. These 3 months were very good and I learnt a lot of things relating to culture. At my job I was very relaxed and everybody was very kind with me. In general it was a good experience. The only bad thing is that in this country everybody puts butter and mayonnaise in everything… you can’t be on a diet! But everything is very beautiful and green. I enjoyed too much. Thank you for all! Vanesa (Seville, Spain) |
The work in Kilkenny was interesting. One always learns something new from these experiences. The other workers in the business were very nice and friendly and so was my boss. I was made feel very welcome. I used English to communicate in the business, although my level isn’t very good and I don’t talk as much as I would like.
Partnership International have been of great help which made the experience in Cork very good. Any problem that we had was immediately addressed.
Pilar (Spain)
My experience has been amazing and very good. I learnt a lot of English. I enjoyed every day at my work, they are very kind and they have a lot of patience with me and my level of English. Cork is an incredible place and it’s very nice. The only bad thing was the weather 🙄 Irene (Seville, Spain) |
I like my job and I am learning lots of new things. Also my colleagues make a huge effort to teach me everything that is in my power. With the rest of the workers, I get on very well with them all. We form a good team when it is necessary to work hard.
My boss is the best and the friendliest person I have met so far. My English is not so good but I do use it everyday and we listen to the radio in work and every time I hear it I am understanding more things.
At home in the house, I am really happy with the people whom I live with. Perhaps the apartment is a bit small, there is no storage space, especially in the fridge, a fight daily! But it’s only a small problem, the rest is good enough.
In short, I am very happy and I really like my job, my house and in general everything around me. My stay in Ireland couldn’t be more perfect. Partnership International always help, no doubt!

During my stay in Ireland I’ve learned a lot! The people here are so kind and nice, you can ask them every time for help. It’s a nice and organised city, however there are only a few points I viewed negative on. For example, it is a very expensive city and there a lot of people who are living on the streets. It is sad to see something like this. But I still have to say that I love the city and the people here and if I would have the chance to work here I would do it! Also I need to add that I can only recommend St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral! Best work placement I’ve ever had! Matheo (Ludwigsstadt, Germany) |
During my internship I was working for One-Magazine in Cork. For me it was a completely new situation because I did a lot of different, great things I never did in my normal job at home. It was very good to see how people in another country, and with another mentality, work and I have a feeling I was learning many useful things I need in my life. I am very happy I went to Cork and collected many, many great experiences.
Christin (Hamburg, Germany)
During my stay here in Cork I really enjoyed my accommodation. Catherine is the best host mother I could imagine and everyone who is accommodated at her house is very lucky. I also enjoyed my colleagues at work. They made me feel like a full member of the team and gave me some challenging tasks, which helped me get better every day. I love the city and the friendly people and I will definitely come back to Cork one day. Max (Sonnefeld, Germany) |
Cork is a nice city. It is a good place to stay. It is not too big, but offers a lot of places of interest and fun. All of the people are very friendly there. Thanks to Partnership International I could spend a beautiful time with nice people in this amazing country of Ireland
Nikola (Czech Republic)
Ireland is an absolutely nice country, people are very kind and friendly, the nature is beautiful even if the weather is not as good as you’d expect. I lived in the city of Cork. It’s not so big but it’s really nice and you cannot get lost there. I got this opportunity thanks to Partnership International. I worked in Cork for a month and I can say it was the best practical training which I ever had. Aneta (Czech Republic) |
