Experience the Charm of Vienna

Vienna is a very beautiful city with a lot of history. It’s known for its imperial sights, coffee houses and cultural events. Experience the special Viennese charm by following our tips listed below.

TRY SOME OF THE LOCAL CUISINE

You can’t visit Vienna without tasting a wiener schnitzel, which is a national dish of Austria. Other popular dishes include the Hungarian Goulash, a stew of beef and vegetables, and Sachertorte, a type of chocolate cake. These dishes all taste amazing!

VISIT THE CHRISTMAS MARKETS

I highly recommend visiting Vienna during the winter and visiting the Christmas markets. I went to Wiener Christkindlmarkt am Rathausplatz, which is located in front of the absolutely beautiful City Hall. You must try some glühwein (mulled wine), which is a great way to warm yourself up in the freezing temperatures, and it comes in the cutest little boot mug that you can keep as a souvenir!

VIEW THE TOP OF THE CITY FROM ST. STEPHEN’S CATHEDRAL

What better way to see a city than seeing it from above? St. Stephen’s Cathedral is one of the most iconic buildings in Vienna. Climb the 343 steps up to the tower and you can enjoy a breath-taking view of the city.

SHOP ‘TIL YOU DROP ON MARIAHILFERSTRASSE

This is Vienna’s longest and most lively shopping street. Everything from department stores to smaller boutiques can be found one this street. If you need a break to rest your tired feet, you can chill in one of the may coffeehouses in the area.
