Discover Los Angeles: The City of Angels

Located in Southern California, Los Angeles has 284 days of sun per year. But it isn’t just all about the beaches and surfing. There are activities to suit absolutely everyone!

Visit Santa Monica Pier

The iconic Santa Monica Pier has been featured in many movies, TV shows, music videos and video games. There is an amusement park on the pier which contains the world’s only solar-powered Ferris Wheel boasting panoramic views of Southern California.

Tour the Warner Bros. Studios

Sit on the Friends couch, see the original Harry Potter costumes and walk the set of hundreds of movies and TV shows that were filmed on the lot. Each tour is personalised so no two tours are the same. Another alternative would be the Universal Studios Tour if you prefer more rides and less sets.

Dine at Malibu Farm Cafe

Located right at the end of Malibu Pier, this café offers delicious food that is fresh, organic and local. It is one of the best places I’ve eaten at in L.A.!

Hike to the Hollywood Sign

There are many different hikes to suit different activity levels. You can choose between the Mount Hollywood Trail (easy), the Canyon Drive Trail (medium) or the Caheunga Peak Hike (difficult). These hikes will give spectacular views of the Hollywood Sign. However, if you would prefer not to hike, you can view the sign from Griffith Park Observatory or Hollywood & Highland Shopping Mall.

Window shop on Rodeo Drive

One of the most luxurious shopping areas in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills is frequently visited by the rich and famous. If you can’t afford to shop there, it is still a beautiful street to stroll down and window shop!
