We’re very proud of our training/learning programmes. Our trainees gain practical experience and develop their skills, whilst the host company gains an enthusiastic student who wants to succeed in their future. The following is some useful information for host companies about our work and study traineeship programme:
Partnership International has been operating successfully in the career training and education sectors for years. We make use of our wealth of experience (we are all former trainees and have lived abroad, experiencing first-hand the challenges and opportunities for students going abroad) to help create some of the most highly regarded programmes in the field. Our work begins when we receive applications for career training traineeships from educational instructions. As part of the Erasmus plus programme, students are obliged to carry out a training traineeship as part of their studies. Our professional team then match each student with a suitable host company based on needs, skills and potential. We aim to provide the most added value for both the student and the host company through the best placement of our candidates. We also provide full assistance to both the student and company throughout the program including pre-traineeship training for students plus we are on hand to provide help and advice at every stage.
Well for starters it’s not about gaining a coffee and photocopying drone for the office! A training programme is built around bridging the gap between academia and business. It’s a chance for students or recent graduates to get practical experience in their chosen sector and for the company to gain the work ethic of a motivated and skilled student in return. Traineeships usually last for a set period of time, usually from 3 weeks to 3 months. Trainees typically work reduced hours. With students coming from abroad there will also be a cultural exchange which can be extremely beneficial to both parties, as well as the added benefit of gaining an employee with one or more foreign languages!
The majority of our trainees are here on an EU-funded grant – called Erasmus+. In general, the student’s grant will cover their accommodation and flights. In some cases, it will cover cultural activities or provide some pocket money. It is important to note that the participants are still students and will not have a large amount of disposable income. Due to this fact we would ask all host companies to cover the student’s transport and lunch costs whilst they are on their training traineeship.
The short answer is yes. If you feel that your company has the resources and time available to ensure that the trainees have enough stimulating tasks to do. We would however strongly recommend that two trainees who share the same mother tongue should work in different sections as together they may not have a chance to develop their language skills effectively.
The traineeship period can vary from project to project depending on what their school allows. In general, most projects last for between three weeks and three months. We do work with longer projects (6 months plus) however so if you are looking for extended term candidates don’t hesitate to contact us. Take note that some projects will require an English refresher course at the beginning of the traineeship. This is typically a week-long intensive course however the Partnership International team member in charge of the group will inform you of this prior to acceptance of the candidate.
